Dawn, who is the ESC’s McKinney-Vento liaison for homeless students, joined the ESC this year. She coordinates activities throughout the district to address barriers and works with district and community services to benefit homeless students and families in the county.
At the May ESC Governing Board meeting, ESC Superintendent Ty Ankrom presented Joanna Shipe and Christy Mills with a certificate naming Pickaway WORKS to the 2022 Ohio School Boards Association Business Honor Roll for its mission to help students graduate with a post-secondary plan.
In April, Erika Konowalow accepted an award on behalf of the ESC from the Ohio School Public Relations Association.
The ESC was recognized for its Facebook page. Konowalow, communication specialist for the ESC, oversees its social media presence, Web site and print materials.
